Say hello to Carl-Frederik, Digital Marketing Advisor at Accutics. If you are wondering how backpacking and marketing analytics fit together, you're in for a treat.

What do you at Accutics?

I work within business development, specifically focusing on opening a door into the Swedish market and the English market. Moreover, working on creating a go-to-plan that can be used in future expansion, based on best-practice and market analysis.

How did you get interested in campaign tracking?

I found my interest in digital marketing and web analytics from previous work conducted during my masters and when working as a management consultant; aiding entrepreneurs, start-ups and scale-ups developing their value proposition and business plans. Throughout this experience I found that marketing data and analytics was a recurring topic of importance – perhaps even more crucial for SMBs – and this sparked my interest.

What brought you to Accutics?

I believe it relates to the previous question. My interest in the start-up scene and the newly found interest in marketing data drove me to look for job opportunities within this field. I was lucky enough to find Accutics, and after an immediate answer, I found myself in an interview with some guys I would be very happy to work and learn from.

Never lived in one place longer than 3 years, and at most had 5 addresses within a year

What’s your favorite part of your job?

It must be the idea of constant learning new things. I mean, we are in the digital industry, and we are just at the beginning of a new era and being submerged in it so early on is fantastic. Looking forward to where it will lead and what we at Accutics can develop, innovate and shock the world with. Moreover, I love the creative and social part of my role, where there is no structure, just a general plan. It is to a large extent up to us to innovate, create and connect.

What are you up to in your free time?

Tough question, but I guess it depends on the season. I usually find myself indulging in sports, music, cooking and especially travelling. I try to travel as much as possible, since I believe it might be one of the most educational and experience-induced activities one can bestow oneself with.

I am not a city person! I feel a lot more comfortable adventuring out in the wilderness, sleeping under the stars in the middle of nowhere.

Name three random things about yourself

  • I enjoy industrial/architectural design - especially working with natural materials
  • I have completed the ‘Vasaloppet’ and love climbing mountains. However, I might be more apt at skiing down them
  • Never lived in one place longer than 3 years, and at most had 5 addresses within a year. Almost always have a bag packed in case I want/need to go somewhere.

What’s something you think most people might not know about you?

I am not a city person! I feel a lot more comfortable adventuring out in the wilderness, sleeping under the stars in the middle of nowhere. Leaving your electrical gadgets at home, turn off your phone and then set off on your journey with nothing but a big backpack and a map.
