Say hello to Marcel, our Web Analytics Specialist, and find out how he marries data management with intensive sports and bass-heavy music

What do you at Accutics?

I’m the connection and helping hand between our business and technical team. In fact, I communicate with our clients regarding their requirements and coordinate the setup of our solutions with our technical team. Another big pillar of my role is to advise our clients on how to implement consistent tracking across different marketing platforms.

How did you get interested in campaign tracking?

During my previous roles at Amazon and in consulting, I realized how important accurate data is in order to make small or highly impactful decisions – no matter the area. Even though I was an absolute beginner in the campaign tracking world when I started at Accutics, I felt a high passion for enabling our clients to fully use the potentials within the online marketing by providing them a strong data fundament.

What brought you to Accutics?

Since I just started a Master studies at CBS, which is a mixture of Business and IT, I found a lot of interest in working in a position that requires technical knowledge but is still closely related to the business sphere. During an inspiring coffee-meeting with Kasper, I pretty quickly realized that I want to contribute to the idea.

When I was a child, I wanted to become the chancellor of Germany

What’s your favorite part of your job?

Definitely working so closely together with such inspiring and committed people such as Kasper, who are absolute professionals in their fields. Working at Accutics is also not just a great chance because I have so much responsibility, but also getting insights in how to develop a tech-startup as a whole is a strong factor.

What are you up to in your free time?

My life was always driven by sports – back in the day, professional hurdles running, nowadays triathlon. If I’m not training for the next competition, I try out all other kinds of sports – which is currently kickboxing. Besides cooking, I love to dance with friends to some bass-intensive electronic beats on the weekends.
