Role Overview

As a QA Engineer at Accutics, you’ll take a central role in shaping our testing strategy and collaborating with the Product Owner and development team to deliver high-quality features. You will focus on acceptance testing, Cypress automation, API testing with Postman, and manual testing of complex features in our staging environment. Our frontend is built using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind, while the backend is powered by PHP with the Laravel framework. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with modern technology and defining how testing resources are best utilized.

What you will do

• Collaborate with the Product Owner to perform acceptance testing of new features and ensure business requirements are met.
• Define and improve our overall testing process, helping determine the best way to allocate testing resources.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Cypress and perform API testing with Postman.
• Create meaningful test scenarios for complex UI features that reflect real-world use cases.
• Perform manual testing in the staging environment, focusing on functional, integration, and regression testing before production releases.
• Identify, log, and track bugs using Jira, ensuring a smooth bug resolution process.
• Work closely with the development team to understand the React/TypeScript frontend and Laravel backend to enhance test coverage.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 1+ years in software testing, ideally in a SaaS or complex web application environment.
• Automation Skills: Experience with Cypress or similar for frontend automation and Postman for API testing.
• UI Testing: Strong experience in manual and exploratory testing of user interfaces.
• Agile/Scrum Experience: Comfortable working in Scrum teams and participating in agile processes.
• Process Improvement: Interest in shaping testing strategies and optimizing testing resources.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with modern frontend stacks (React, TypeScript, Tailwind) and backend systems (PHP, Laravel).
• Attention to Detail: A structured and thorough approach to identifying edge cases and complex scenarios.
• Collaboration: Strong communication skills for working closely with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release management.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools.
• Familiarity with Laravel testing frameworks.
